Aron Hill

Aron Hill is a PhD candidate within the Therapeutic Brain Stimulation team at the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre (MAPrc). In 2013, Aron completed an Honours degree in psychology at Monash University where he used transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to explore the human mirror neuron system. Aron鈥檚 research now utilises various non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) technologies including TMS and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), coupled with neuroimaging techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG), to investigate brain-behaviour relationships.

A key goal of Aron鈥檚 research is to better understand important links between cognitive functions such as memory and the underlying neurobiological processes which drive them. Ultimately, Aron hopes that his research will aid in the development of future neuroplasticity-based therapies for treating cognitive impairment in people suffering from psychiatric and neurological disorders.
