Dr Anthony Budd is one of the few geologists who have worked in the minerals, geothermal and petroleum resource sectors. This has included 20 years working with the nation鈥檚 geological survey, Geoscience Australia. Anthony鈥檚 geothermal work focused on providing information about Australia鈥檚 little-known geothermal potential. This included acquiring new mapping data, providing advice to government and information to the public, and international collaboration. Anthony conducted a Geothermal Capability Project with sister organisation the National Geothermal Institute of India, and he serves as Australia鈥檚 technical representative on the International Partnership for Geothermal Technology.
